Method
Source: 976 fare checks on 163 US domestic routes made by EazAir between Aug 29, 2026 and Sep 25, 2026. Each check records the lowest fare our partner sites returned for the route, for one adult, in US dollars. Checks happen when travellers look at a route, so busier routes are checked more often.
Index: for each complete week (Monday to Sunday, UTC) we take each route's median checked fare. Each week is compared with the week before using only routes checked in both weeks: the index moves by the median of those routes' week-on-week ratios, and the links are chained from 100 in the base week. The base is the earliest week from which every following week matches at least 15 routes with the week before, so no gap is ever bridged by a guess. The current, incomplete week is never included.
Limits: fares are route-level, not for specific travel dates; the sample follows traveller demand rather than a fixed panel; and with a few weeks of history, week-to-week moves say more about the short term than about seasons. Updated every time this page loads, from the same data as our route pages.
